Play responsibly
Last updated 4 October 2026The short version. Gambling should be entertainment. If it stops being fun, stop. A leaderboard is never a reason to bet more than you planned.
Keep it in perspective
- The house has an edge on every game. Over time, most players lose.
- Gambling is not a way to earn money or fix money problems.
- Leaderboards and milestones reward how much you wager. Chasing a rank means wagering more, and that means risking more. Never raise your bets to climb the board.
Habits that help
- Decide what you can afford to lose before you start, and stop when it's gone.
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit.
- Don't chase losses.
- Don't gamble when you're upset, stressed, drunk or high.
- Never gamble with borrowed money or money meant for bills.
- Take breaks, and keep other things in your life.
Signs it's becoming a problem
- Spending more money or time than you meant to.
- Hiding your gambling, or lying about it.
- Borrowing, or selling things, to gamble.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low when you try to stop.
- Gambling to escape problems or to win back what you lost.
- Letting work, school or family slide.

Tools that put distance between you and gambling
- Self-exclusion on Gamba. Gamba lets you lock yourself out of your account for a period you choose. You'll find it in your Gamba account settings, or ask Gamba's support.
- Blocking software. BetBlocker is free, and Gamban is a paid option. Both block gambling sites on your devices.
- Your bank. Many banks can block gambling payments on your card if you ask.
Adults only
This site and Gamba are for people aged 18 or over, or the legal gambling age where you live if that is higher. If children use your devices, consider parental controls so they can't reach gambling sites.
